A. Yes, I offer a complimentary two-flavor tasting and consultation for you and one guest. There is a $10 fee for each additional flavor or guest. Please keep in mind that cake samples are prepared specifically for your appointment. I ask for the courtesy of 48 hours notice if your appointment needs to be rescheduled. Cancellations without the appropriate notice will be subject to a fee of $75 in order to rebook the appointment.
Q. Is there a charge for the consultation? How long can we expect to be there?
A. There is no fee for consultations. An hour is set-aside for each client, which has proven to be plenty of time to design cakes and choose flavors. Appointments are sometimes scheduled before and after yours so please plan to be on time so we have a full hour.
Q. What do I need to bring to our appointment?
A. It is preferable to have made venue, color, and floral decisions prior to your consultation as that information will often inspire your cake design. Other elements of your event can also provide inspiration, such as pictures of the wedding dress or invitations can also be helpful. The design process is definitely a collaborative effort and I’ll keep going until you have a design you love.
Q. What Can I Expect To Pay For A Cake? Do you have a price list?
A. I do not have a general price list because each cake is one-of-a-kind. Most custom cakes are priced per person; smaller orders (typically, anything under 75 servings) are priced per project. Because of the care I give to each order I must require a minimum of $100 on all of my cakes.
Pricing starts at $5 per serving for a plain iced cake. My pricing tends to average from $6-$10 per serving. Ultimately the price is based on the complexity of design and the number of people being served.
Before you arrive for your consultation, it is helpful to have a budget in mind for what you would like to spend on your cake. This will give me a better sense of what I can design for you.

A. My delivery area ranges San Diego to Los Angeles. I am willing to travel anywhere our cakes can safely be delivered so please contact us to inquire about a specific location. There is a $20 delivery fee for cakes in the San Diego area. Additional delivery fees will apply for cakes outside the San Diego area and are calculated based on mileage round-trip.

A. No, I do not ship my cakes at this time.
Q. Do I have to make a deposit to reserve my wedding date? If so, how much is it and can I get a refund, if necessary?
A. Yes, you will need to make a $ 150 dollar deposit to reserve your wedding date on our calendar. I will base your deposit on the total estimated amount at the time of the deposit. I ask that you be absolutely certain that you would like to work with me, as all deposits are date specific and non-refundable.
Q. I am not ready to make design decisions yet but I want to reserve our date so you don’t get booked up, is that possible?
A. Yes. You may reserve your date with a $100 deposit. Final arrangements just need to be made at least 2 weeks prior to your event. Again, I ask that you be absolutely certain that you would like to work with me, as all deposits are date specific and non-refundable.
Q. How far in advance should I order a cake?
A. I am often booked up many weeks ahead of time so the sooner the better to reserve your date. However, I do like to attempt to accommodate last minute requests if scheduling allows. Please feel free to call to find out my availability.
Q. Do you make individual cakes, cupcakes and decorated cookies?
A. Yes. I do custom cupcakes starting at $5 per person. Individual cakes start at $20 each. Cookies start at $5 - including packaging for favors. Please contact me for additional information.
Q. If I want fresh flowers on my cake how can that be arranged?
A. I will usually try to coordinate directly with your florist to ensure we are using the same varieties of flowers. I purchase the flowers and place them on the cake prior to delivery. If you prefer your florist to provide the flowers I can arrange them onsite for a $20 fee.
Q. Do you make sugar free or vegan cakes? Do you use organic ingredients?
A. Yes. I can accommodate a wide variety of dietary specifications, including vegan, organic, and dairy/sugar free. Some of these will require an adjustment in price. Please feel free to ask!
All of my ingredients are natural and of the highest quality. I use locally sourced, organic ingredients whenever possible. Ingredients really do make all the difference and I am committed to using only the finest products available.
